Why buy from the factory

Thirty years of building the same product, properly

Keling has been making medical appliances since 1996. Today the group runs two subsidiaries — sales and export in Shanghai, R&D and production in Yangzhou — employing 300 people, 40% of whom are specialised technicians.

  • Ten product series, nearly 200 varieties — operating tables, surgical and examination lights, medical pendants, delivery beds, gynaecology chairs, suction units, X-ray film viewers, oxygen concentrators and nebulisers alongside the bed range.
  • 30,000 units a year of manufacturing capacity, with annual sales above USD 52 million.
  • Tender-proven — winning bids on UNICEF projects, China's Ministry of Health and the National Population and Family Planning Commission of China.
  • Assets above USD 18 million, so orders are backed by real production capacity rather than sub-contracted workshops.

Common questions

Buying from Keling Medical

Ten questions our export team answers most often — manufacturing, certification, containers, lead time and tender paperwork. Anything not covered here, ask us directly.

Is Keling Medical a manufacturer or a trading company?

Keling Medical is a manufacturer. The group operates Jiangsu Keling Medical Appliances Co., Ltd. as its R&D and production centre in Yangzhou and Shanghai Keling International Trading Co., Ltd. as its sales and export centre. Production, welding, powder coating and assembly happen in Keling's own 120,000 m² facility, which is why specifications, finishes and OEM branding can be changed at the factory rather than negotiated through a third party.

Which certifications do Keling hospital beds hold?

The Keling series of products is approved to CE, ISO 9001 and ISO 13485. Keling has also been awarded National Hi-Tech Enterprise status and holds a Chinese Well-Known Trademark. Certificates are shown on the certifications page and the current signed copies are sent with every quotation.

What is the minimum order quantity for hospital beds?

Minimum quantities depend on the model and on whether OEM branding or a bespoke colour is required. Standard catalogue models can be supplied in mixed containers, which is how most first orders are placed. Send the models and quantities you have in mind and our export team will confirm the MOQ, the FOB or CIF price and the number of units per 20ft and 40HQ container.

Which markets does Keling supply?

More than 40% of Keling's output is sold overseas, across Europe, Africa, the Middle East, Southeast Asia and South America. Keling has won bids on projects for UNICEF, China's Ministry of Health and the National Population and Family Planning Commission of China.

Can Keling manufacture to our own design or brand?

Yes. Keling supports OEM and private-label production, including custom headboard styles, colours, branding on the bed head and packaging. Send a drawing, a tender specification or a competitor datasheet and the engineering team will confirm what can be built and in what quantity.

How many beds fit into a 20ft or 40HQ container?

It depends on the model and on whether the beds travel assembled or knocked down — a flat manual ward bed loads very differently from an ICU bed with a fitted mattress and rails. Rather than quote a figure that will not match your order, our export team returns a loading plan with the quotation: units per 20ft and per 40HQ for the exact models and mattress combination you are buying, with carton dimensions and gross weight.

What is the lead time from order to delivery?

Three periods run back to back: manufacturing at the Yangzhou plant, sea freight to your port, and — where your market requires it — product registration. Manufacturing and shipping are the predictable parts and are confirmed in writing with the quotation. Registration is almost always the longest step, so if your country requires a licence before customs clearance, start that conversation with us at the quotation stage rather than after the order is placed.

Can we visit the factory or send a third-party inspector?

Yes to both. The production base is in Yangzhou, Jiangsu, about two hours from Shanghai, and buyers are welcome to audit it; the Shanghai export office arranges the visit and the interpreter. Pre-shipment inspection by SGS, BV, TUV, Intertek or your own agent is routine — Keling manufactures under an SGS-certified ISO 13485 quality system whose scope explicitly covers hospital beds, so inspection records, material certificates and production traceability are already part of the process.

Do you supply spare parts and after-sales support?

Yes. The parts most likely to be needed over a bed’s life — castors, side rails, headboards, IV stands and bed head units — are catalogued as separate accessory lines on this site and can be ordered on their own. Actuators, handsets, control boxes and mattress platforms are supplied from the factory on request. Tell us the model and the year of supply and we will confirm the part number and price.

What documentation do you provide for a hospital tender?

A quotation pack for a tender normally includes signed datasheets for each model, a point-by-point compliance matrix against the tender specification, a manufacturer’s authorisation letter naming your company, and copies of the ISO 13485 and CE documents plus the market authorisations Keling holds for the United States, Saudi Arabia, Ethiopia and Uzbekistan. Send the tender document itself and the export team will fill the matrix in against your clause numbering.
