What to decide first
The questions that most often change which model is the right one.
Buy spares in the same lot as the beds
Castors, side rails and headboards for roughly 5% of the fleet, ordered with the beds, cost a fraction of sourcing them as a one-off shipment three years later.
Aluminium and stainless versus ABS rails
Metal rails survive the trolley impact and pass the damage into the frame. ABS rails crack and are replaced cheaply. Neither is simply better — on wards with heavy trolley traffic, ABS plus a stock of spares is often the cheaper ten-year decision.
Castors are a consumable
Specify diameter, braking arrangement and tread material against your floors. Central braking is safer than four individual brakes, because a bed with three brakes applied is a bed that moves during a transfer.
Bed head units belong in the ward package
The aluminium-alloy bedside service panel carries gas outlets, sockets and nurse-call points. Ordering it with the beds is what keeps the finish consistent across a floor.
Confirm fitment before ordering spares
Tell us the bed model and, where possible, send a photograph of the mounting. Rails and headboards are supplied in several lengths and fixing patterns.
About this range
These are the parts that decide how long a hospital bed stays in service. Frames and actuators rarely fail first — rails get struck by trolleys, ABS headboards crack, castors deform and drag, latches wear. A bed with no available spares is scrapped years early, and the replacement cost is many times the price of the part that failed.
Because of that, these lines are catalogued separately rather than buried inside the bed specifications. Distributors hold them as opening stock; hospitals include them in the same tender lot as the beds; OEM customers specify them as the visible, brandable parts of a bed built to their own design.
