Project brief

A community clinic served by several transport stages needs a bed package that can be received and assembled at a small final site. Freight planning is part of product selection because carton size, handling and spare-part access influence what the clinic can maintain. The island setting is a hypothetical logistics scenario, not a named customer reference.

Procurement requirements

  • Confirm the largest package that every stage of the delivery route can accept.
  • Specify the required manual functions without assuming one fixed-height model suits every room.
  • Ask for material, finish and storage information appropriate to the stated environment.

The final bed count, destination, budget and delivery window are project inputs to be supplied by the buyer. No order quantity, customer name or contract value is presented as a fact in this example.

Proposed product shortlist

KL-BC106 is a one-function manual candidate and KL-BC108 is a three-function manual candidate with height adjustment. Their different functions and external dimensions should be compared with the room and transport brief. No marine-grade corrosion resistance is inferred from the illustration or the product name. Side-rail fitment and finish need written confirmation.

Room layout and configuration

Check the route from landing or unloading point to the clinic store and final rooms. If assembly takes place on site, allocate a clean, dry area with suitable handling equipment. The offered packed dimensions and gross weights are required before choosing a transport method.

Delivery and implementation plan

Agree protective packaging, handling marks and storage conditions with the supplier and forwarder. Compare assembled and partly dismantled packing options if available. Keep fasteners and accessories identifiable by bed model, and include the documents and tools needed by the appointed assembler.

Agree the MOQ, offered configuration, lead time, Incoterm, destination and responsibility for import documentation in the final quotation. Confirm any market-specific documents against the actual model and destination; this example is not evidence of registration in a particular country.

Acceptance and handover checklist

  • Inspect cartons and components after each transport handover and record damage promptly.
  • Verify complete assembly, crank operation, rails and brakes at the clinic.
  • Reconcile spare parts with the installed configuration and define how future orders will identify them.
  • Keep the approved specification, packing list, inspection record and maintenance contact together in the project handover file.

Checks must follow the supplied manufacturer instructions and the facility's approved procedures. Record nonconformities and obtain closure before the responsible team releases equipment for use.

Intended outcome and evaluation

The planning deliverable is a documented transport-and-assembly package. Freight savings, corrosion life and arrival dates remain subject to real quotations and validation.

Request a similar configuration

Send your care setting, intended equipment use, bed quantity, room and doorway dimensions, required functions, destination and preferred delivery date. Include any required accessories and a tender specification or bill of quantities if available. Ask the export team to identify confirmed matches, exceptions and optional items separately.
